14 DAYS SAFARI ITINERARY (deluxe)

DAY 1-NAIROBI (TRADEMARK)


Arrive at Nairobi, Kenya’s cosmopolitan capital. Once little more than a watering hole
for Masai tribes, today Nairobi is one of the largest cities in East Africa. You will be
recieved by our tour guide and transferred to Trademark Hotel.

DAY 2-NAIROBI


Today after breakfast you will visit the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen which is the
home of Out of Africa‘s Isak Dinesen (who wrote as Karen Blixen),then lunch at
one of Nairobi’s most exclusive eco-friendly Restaurants – The Talisman. After
lunch proceed to Matbronze Art Gallery & Foundry. This is Kenya’s first Bronze
foundry established in 1987 and specialized in exquisite bronze artefacts for
your memories of Kenya.

DAY 3 LAKE NAKURU


After breakfast, depart and drive to the Great Rift Valley view point. Drive on to Lake
Nakuru National Park. Post lunch you will proceed for a game drive.
This park has a 200-sq Km shallow Alkaline Soda Lake and lies in the volcanic-
strewn Rift Valley. It previously hosted the world’s greatest bird spectacle with
millions of pink flamingos (which have migrated, but some flocks are usually found
here) and pelicans, birds of prey like vultures, eagles, and animals such as
waterbuck, white and black rhinos, buffalo, reedbuck, gazelle, leopard, hyrax,
hippos, velvet-monkey, Rothschild giraffe and baboons. This is an ideal place for
ornithologists and photographers. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lionhill Lodge or
equivalent.

DAY 4-LAKE NAKURU


After breakfast depart for a Full day safari in the park with packed picnic lunch. Lake
Nakuru National Park is home to over 400 other species of birds. Lake Nakuru is
also home to gazelles, leopards, buffalo, lions and other wildlife. For nature lovers,
this park is covered in grassland and surrounded by euphorbia and acacia forests
creating a beautiful natural background

DAY 5-MASAI MARA


After breakfast. Depart for the most magnificent part of your safari- Masai Mara. The
Maasai Mara is the jewel of Kenya’s game parks, located in the northern section of the
great Serengeti plains. The reserve is the home of the “big five” …. elephant, lion,
leopard, buffalo, and Rhino, as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, wildebeests, hippo,
impala gazelle, and numerous other wildlife, including hundreds of species of birds.
For the next three nights, you will find your accommodations at the exquisite Mara, one
of the Mara’s popular luxury tented camps. This allows you to immerse yourself in the
wilderness while still enjoying all the comforts of home. Perched on the edge of the
Olololo escarpment and enveloped by the lush forest canopy, each tent offers
panoramic views of the world’s most extensive grassland ecosystem, which is still under
the watchful care of the Maasai tribe.
You can look forward to thrilling game drives, where Mara’s wonders will be unveiled
before your eyes. After you check in and savor a delicious lunch, you will have some
leisure time to unwind and take a refreshing dip in the pool. Later in the afternoon, you
will reunite with your private guide for an exciting game drive in pursuit of the “big five.”
The soft afternoon light is ideal for capturing the beauty of the rolling plains of the
Maasai Mara.Your overnight stay will be at the Sarova Mara or equivalent Lodge.

Day 6: MASAI MARA

During the following mornings, you will experience the enchantment of waking before
sunrise. After savouring a cup of tea or coffee, you will embark on an early morning
game drive as the sun begins to paint the Mara with its first light. The Mara reveals its
magic in these early hours; melodious birdsong fills the air, the morning breeze carries a
fresh and invigorating scent, and the wildlife starts to stir, welcoming the new day.
Zebras frolic and exchange greetings, jackals gracefully bound through the grass in
search of mice, rabbits dart about, baboons engage in animated chatter, and inquisitive
giraffes observe you while munching on acacia leaves. You might even stumble upon a
lion family sharing the remnants of last night’s hunt or spot a leopard taking a leisurely
nap on a tree. After returning to the camp, a lavish buffet breakfast awaits you.
Following this, you will geet some time to rest and relax till lunch. In the late afternoon,
post lunch head out once more with your driver/guide for a game drive, venturing
deeper into the heart of the Mara. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the “little five” –
the Thompson’s gazelle, jackal, African hare, vervet monkeys, and banded mongoose.
These smaller creatures can be just as fascinating and entertaining to observe as their
large counterparts.

Day 7: Maasai Mara Game Reserve Full Day.

Enjoy the morning Game drive to this vast, open grasslands of the Serengeti-Mara
ecosystem, which are home to over 3 million large mammals. In our game drive, we

have a very good chance of seeing all the major Plains animals, including lion, leopard,
buffalo,elephant, rhino, hyena, cheetah, jackal, warthog, and many other species. Visit a
Masai village (not in cost) this afternoon to learn the ancient ways of the Masai people,
who are allowed to graze animals and to hunt within the reserve boundaries.

DAY 8 – NAIROBI


After breakfast drive back to Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon. Overnight in Nairobi.

DAY 9- AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK


The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the
best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five
different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with
sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  They can also visit the local Maasai
community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture. The animals
you are likely to see here are Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dogs, Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra,
Lion, Crocodile, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik- dik, Lesser Kudu, and Nocturnal Porcupine.
Prolific birdlife features 600 species.

You will arrive here in time for lunch and staying at the Old Tukai or equivalent Lodge.The
lodge is strategically located at the heart of Amboseli National Park. As such, it is designed
to take advantage of its scenic environment; Mt. Kilimanjaro and the abundant wildlife of
Amboseli, making it a world-renowned spot to observe African Elephants.There will be a late
afternoon game drive.

DAY 10- AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK


Today you will go for an early morning game drive into this park vibrant with its diverse
animal and birds population.After lunch and rest in the afternoon you will proceed once
again for another game drive. Overnight in Ol Tukai or equivalent lodge.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included.

DAY 11,12& 13- WATAMU.


After breakfast return to Nairobi and fly onwards to Malindi. You will be recieved and
transferred to Hemmingways Watamu. Next 3 nights at this luxury Beach Resort.
